PCARS Purpose


The Portage County Association of REALTORS® (abbreviated PCAR) is a mid-sized local association serving approximately 250 REALTOR® members and approximately 30 Affiliate partners. PCAR is the local charter of a 3 part membership that real estate agents commit to voluntarily. An approved member of PCAR automatically holds a membership with the Ohio and National Associations of REALTORS®. The National Association of REALTORS® is the world's largest professional association.

Association Governance

PCAR is governed by volunteer REALTORS® elected by their peers to serve as The Board of Directors.The Board of Directors employs staff including an Executive Officer to manage the operations and assist in the implementation of policies and initiatives. The Objective of the volunteer leaders is to best serve the REALTOR® profession and communities they represent on behalf of the membership body.

Promote the preservation of the right to own, transfer & use real property.

Provide education and communication to members that helps them succeed in their business.

Promote members as the "Local Voice of Real Estate.
